What does this car problem sound like?

When I start it up, after a few seconds, the sound on the radio will start going in and out, the digital readouts on the panel will start flashing on and off, the speedometer will flail back and forth, the AC will stop coming out of the vents and make a sound like it's trying to work but it can't. Then the car will stall. I start it up again and it will work fine. Come back and try it a few hours later and have the same problem. Just started today. Is this a dying battery or something else?
